Automated Order Confirmation

Send automated order confirmation notifications via WhatsApp to the customers

Order confirmation have higher open rate, and you should use that opportunity to encourage your customers to become repeat buyers.

Order Confirmation messages help you add irresistible offers like amazing discounts like percentage, fixed amount or free shipping that get sent automatically and provide your customers the value they need so that they come back to you again, and again, and again.

How does the Automated Order Confirmation Work?

Once a customer places an order successfully with your store, the customer will be send a confirmation message over WhatsApp.

To do so please navigate to Shopify Dashboard->Apps->WhatsApp Abandoned Cart->Automation->Order Confirmation Template->Enable.

Optionally, you can also give a unique coupon code (generated automatically) or a static coupon for their next order.

Template Configuration:

To configure/edit the order confirmation message template: Please navigate to Shopify Dashboard->Apps->WhatsApp Abandoned Cart->Automation->Order Confirmation Template->Edit.

Template Language: Select your template language from the Dropbox. Please note that at the moment we do have only English template.

Message Template: Please note that the default message available in this template is not editable as it is the pre-approved template by WhatsApp. Hence you would not be able to edit the content of the message here. The preview option on the right corner would help you view how the message would be delivered to the client.

Coupon code Type: The customer code helps you to provide interesting offers/discounts to your customer that they can use for their next purchase and thus help you retain your customer, drive repeated sales and to increase the store revenue. There are three Coupon types offered with the Automated Order Confirmation Message:

  1. No Coupon Code: If you do not wish to offer any discount to customer with the order confirmation then you may chose this option.

Note: If you choose the option "No Coupon Code" then the message template will send the message to customer by eliminating the {{couponmessage}} in it. That is the message would appear as "Hi {{name}}, thank you for your purchase of {{order_amount}} from {{store_name}} . Your order is getting ready and we will notify you when it has been shipped. You can view your order here {{order_status_url}}.

2.Static Coupon Code: The static coupon codes are the ones that can be set at a time and you can send the same coupon code to n number of users. You should have created this coupon code in your Shopify dashboard -> Discounts.

Dynamic Coupon Code: The Dynamic coupon code are the unique coupon code generated automatically for each user. So that each customer would receive a unique coupon code that they can use for their next purchase with your store.

Coupon Message: You can include a message with a coupon code in this field.

  • For the Static Coupon Code you may enter the message For example as "Use coupon code SPECIAL5 to get 5% off".

NOTE: You should have created this coupon code (SPECIAL5) in your Shopify dashboard -> Discounts

  • For the Dynamic Coupon Code you may enter the message For example as "Use {{dynamic_coupon_code}} to get 10% discount on your next order. Valid for 5 days. Hurry!".

Note: The short code {{dynamic_coupon_code}} will be replaced with the unique coupon code generated in the message send to the customer.

Once you have configured the Order Confirmation template then click on Save to save all the changes performed.
